About imgloom

imgloom is a free online image toolkit that does all of its work inside your web browser. Convert, compress, resize, crop and edit photos without installing software, creating an account or uploading a single file.

Your files never leave your device

Every tool runs locally in your browser. Images are decoded, edited and encoded on your own computer or phone, and the result is saved straight from memory. There is no upload step, no server-side copy and no account.

Built on proven open-source codecs

Format conversion and compression use the browser’s Canvas API plus WebAssembly builds of the Squoosh codecs (MozJPEG, OxiPNG, libwebp, libavif) via jSquash. HEIC photos are decoded with heic2any, PDFs with pdf.js and pdf-lib, and background removal runs the @imgly/background-removal model on-device.

70 tools in 10 languages

Format converters (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, GIF, BMP, SVG), compression and compress-to-size, resize, crop, rotate, watermark, text, filters, background removal, and exact size presets for social networks, marketplaces and ID photos.

How imgloom is funded

imgloom is free with no paywall. It is paid for by a small number of ads and by voluntary donations. Ads never see your images, because your images never reach any server.
